01 First visit guide

What does a first assessment cover for a working adult?

The free assessment is a private first visit, not a class or a fitness test. A coach looks at a few everyday movements, talks through your work week and goals — desk posture, golf or performance, strength, or aging well — and recommends a realistic starting point. No package decision is required on the spot.

This page is for professionals who want to know what will be evaluated and how the visit will feel before they block time. It follows the same assessment process already described on the Logic Fitness site.

No health detail or movement-check score is required to submit the request.

What is evaluated in the first assessment?

The visit is a conversation plus comfortable movement observation. It is not a medical diagnosis, emergency assessment, or a ranking of how fit you are.

  • How you move today in a few simple patterns — standing, reaching overhead, balance, and a gentle hip hinge — staying in a range that feels easy.
  • How a normal week is built: desk hours, travel, recovery, and a frequency you can keep.
  • The outcome you care about now: posture and control, strength, golf or sport, or staying capable later in life.
  • Areas to work around, including relevant pain, old injuries, or an existing care plan.
  • Which North York room may fit: Logic Fitness at Sheppard & Bayview, or Logic Performance at Cummer & Bayview.

What do you experience in the visit?

You are not asked to perform for a crowd or prove a training history. The coach explains the reason for what they are looking at and keeps the work at a comfortable level.

  • A private conversation about what has been getting in the way — stiffness after desk days, a golf season, or a goal you do not want to leave to chance.
  • A short look at everyday movement, not a maximum-effort workout.
  • A clear, no-pressure recommendation: coach, program, and a pace that fits a professional week.
  • Time to ask about private coaching or another Logic service if that is a better fit.

How should you arrive from a work day?

You do not need a completed package choice or a movement-check score. Wear clothes you can move in. If you already have a care plan or symptoms the coach should know about, bring that context. The assessment does not replace medical advice.

What happens after you apply?

Submit the free-assessment form with your preferred location, the outcome you want, and the best way to reach you. The team aims to respond within 24 hours and can arrange the visit around a working schedule. If you are not ready to book today, the five-minute movement pre-check is still available as a lighter first step.

What if your work has a joint pattern?

Desk, dental, kitchen, nursing, studio, surgical, driving, trades, and golf weeks each load the body in a repeatable way. The assessment can start from that pattern. A separate guide explains how training uses assess, correct, strengthen, and sustain for each role — without diagnosing a condition.

  • Desk and device work: neck, shoulders, low back, wrists.
  • Dental, surgical, and clinic procedures: flexed or static neck and shoulders.
  • Kitchen, nursing, and standing shifts: feet, knees, low back, and transfers.
  • Studio painting, trades, and golf: raised arms, lifts, or weekend rotation.

Is the assessment a medical test?

No. It is general coaching guidance. It does not diagnose injury, disease, or fitness level, and it does not replace a healthcare professional’s advice.

I sit most of the day. Is this still the right first visit?

Yes. The assessment is built to understand how you move now and what a realistic week looks like. Desk posture, travel, and limited training time are common starting points.

Which location holds the assessment?

Both North York studios can start the conversation: Logic Fitness at 20 Rean Dr (Sheppard & Bayview) and Logic Performance at 3309 Bayview Ave (Cummer & Bayview). Choose the room that is easier to reach around work.

What if I only want to understand cost first?

Read the 2026 private-coaching cost guide, then book the same free assessment. The visit is where coach, frequency, and whether a plan is the right next step are confirmed.
